Dinner at 10pm tonight? Ham + cheese sandwich, fresh cut sweet potato fries, and Brooklyn Brewery Dark Chocolate Stout. Not too shabby.

Boot Camp
My grandfather went to boot camp for the army air corps. My cousin went to boot camp for the army rangers. I’m at boot camp for church planters. I like to think I’m keeping up the family tradition.
Upon finding my 2 yr old in the bay window
Me: did you climb up there all by yourself?
Sabra: I DID IT!!!!
Me: were you careful?
Sabra: noooooo.
I've got my work cut out for me.

mysterious text
My wife just received a text from a number we don’t recognize that read “my no new tina”.
I desperately wanted to repsond with “that’s awesome - if it made sese & I knew who you were”.
Sadly, my vision was rejected. So I’m writing it here instead. You’re welcome.
I made a decision a while ago that if I were to rate a restaurant on Yelp for less than 3 stars out of five, I just wouldn’t do it. Might my review be helpful to someone down the line? Maybe. But I also realize as a business owner that we all have off days, and the internet can have a haunting permanence.
That said, we stopped at a cafe we found on the way home my in-laws today that had to...
Today's List of Accomplishments
1) Attend a beer tasting. At 10am. 2) Get $250 worth of equipment for the shop for $100. 3) Have a college student record & produce a 1:00 radio ad for the shop, just in case we’d ever want to use it. It’s excellent. 4) Purchase & devour the “Karl’s Special” from Acme BBQ*. Fresh cut fries covered in pulled pork, bacon chunks, fried onions, melted cheddar, and...

ministry criticism
I realized this morning that I have a very short fuse for second hand criticism of other ministries, even those I don’t particularly agree with. If you haven’t read someone’s book, don’t critique it. If you haven’t listened to someone’s teaching, don’t tell others what they teach. if you haven’t been to a particular church, don’t slam their...
